How i Lost 9 Dress Sizes in 8 Months
Me on the right at my heaviest, 210lbs
I am the mother of a beautiful daughter. I am 5'6 “, and in my heaviest weight, I weighed more than 210 pounds, which put me in the category of obesity !! The Keto diet, along with LEPTISENSE, worked so well that I lost so much weight! I reached 118 pounds, Many members of my family worry.
Today my current weight is 130 lbs. I’m happier than ever, now I can take my daughter to hiking trips, fun jogging and anything else that involves playing sports together. We found that not only does this keep us fit, but it has given us great binding experiences.
The beginning
I was a full child. Since I remember being overweight. Here in my country, a healthy child is known to have full cheeks, a cute little belly and flabby arms. My eating habits were not healthy. Rice is a staple food in my country and I am used to eating it with every meal. I consumed 2–3 cups of rice per serving, along with some fried meat, usually chicken or pork.
Chubby teenager
It was all right until I became a very conscious teenager. As we all know, in our teenage years we start to be accurate about what we wear and what image we want to show the world. I had some crush in school, but I knew that the way I looked (I was really overweight), no boy would ever look at me as they looked at skinny girls or even curves.
Like most women, I tried a lot of diets. Everything from eating anything but vegetables (which only lasted for a few days), to starving myself by eating just biscuits, to measuring every bite of the food you ate, to trying different types of juices that promise to detoxify your body and are supposed to It helps you lose weight. guess what? Some might work, but the moment you stopped, the weight came back.
These diets and eating habits continued into my late twenties. Back then, I was desperate for something that would actually work.
perception
The day I realized that I was completely unhealthy and unhappy with my eyes, it was when I needed to attend my best friend’s wedding and had nothing to wear. Not only that, but when I tried to shop for a dress, none of the stores had anything to suit! To make matters worse, the reception was held in an outdoor park that required some walking to reach. I was so heavy that it only took me 5 minutes’ walk!
After the wedding, I saw pictures of me and I was not happy! I couldn’t believe that that fat girl in the photos was really me! It was at that moment that I decided that I had to make changes to my diet and start living a healthy lifestyle for myself and my son.
The verification that I was not healthy and that I was not satisfied with my appearance
A friend recommended that I review a diet she saw on Facebook. I remember asking, “Is this diet going to make me eat like a bird again”? He was so used to diets that they promised to lose weight if he ate less than that’s what he expected. Once I read more about the Keto diet, I was convinced enough to try it.
The keto diet
What exactly is the Keto diet? The keto diet is known as a low carbohydrate diet. When you eat carbohydrates, your body produces insulin. Insulin is a hormone designed to store fat (among other things). Your body will use the carbohydrates in your diet for energy and then store what it doesn’t need as fat. When you stop eating carbohydrates, the liver turns stored fat into something called ketones for energy.
This means that your stored fat will be used for energy, rather than your body storing fat! This diet goes by other names, including the ketogenic diet, the low carbohydrate, low carbohydrate, and high fat (LCHF) diet, and many times, simply “the keto plan.”
The Journey
Overall, my diet journey was difficult. I say “hard” because there are so many tempting foods! Imagine going to an event where some of your favorite foods are served and you can’t eat most of the goodies served on your plate! With continued exercise and my low carb diet, I lost a total of 80 pounds and was able to wear an extra small shirt without feeling insecure!
Losing weight is half the battle. The other half is maintaining that weight. For the most part, I stopped drinking sugary drinks (except on rare occasions), cut out fries (tried to eat healthy options that are allowed in the diet), and started choosing the right foods. I also set out every week to have Sunday as my cheat day if I eat properly the other 6 days of the week. By the way, a cheat day does not mean filling your face with all the foods you love but eating them in moderation.
I think the main reason why I have been successful this time when I had failed so many other times in the past is that a low carb/keto diet allowed me to eat to satiety. I didn’t feel hungry for the most part. While there were days when I was hungrier than others, I never felt like I was starving like I used to with other diets. To prevent me from returning to my previous state, I used the 5-pound rule suggested by the 2-Week Diet.
Transformation complete, 130lbs
Success
After losing so much weight, I feel more confident. That confidence has radiated into my work, my personal life, and the way I see life in general because I got a more positive outlook. My swelling was removed and my skin is radiant! Now I can climb stairs and walk long distances without feeling tired. I was able to join a fun 5km run and for the first time, I wasn’t so tired walking long distances. I joined various gym classes (Zumba, Yoga, Crossfit) just to keep everything exciting and fresh.

Start with a goal in mind now
Ask yourself; What do you want to achieve? This is a question that only you can answer. Do you want to lose weight for health reasons? Do you want to put your old clothes back on? Start with a goal in mind. Trust me, my motivation to lose weight was powerful and helped me stay strong when I wanted to eat chocolates or overeat on a cheat day. It doesn’t matter if you want to lose just a few pounds or do your best for a complete transformation. If you want real motivation, search online for before and after photos of people who have been successful on their weight loss journey.
You can also join some of the weight loss forums, communities, or groups that have the same goals as you. You’ll find many of these on Facebook and other social media. Groups can help you stay motivated and make new friends. You can share recipes, come up with tips, and find help when you have those inevitable bad days (let’s face it, we all have them).
In general, the change will only happen when you decide you want to change, set goals, follow them, and achieve them through hard work and dedication. I wish you good luck on your weight loss journey and I hope my story has inspired you to achieve your own goals. If I can do it, you can too!
